Case Study
Modernizing the Digital Home of Georgia's OOH Industry Trade Association
The Challenge
The Outdoor Advertising Association of Georgia (OAAG) is the state trade association for the outdoor advertising industry in Georgia, representing billboard operators of all sizes, from small independent operators in rural markets to large regional companies, as well as advertisers, agencies, vendors, and public service organizations. OAAG advocates for the industry before the Georgia Legislature and the Georgia Department of Transportation, hosts the state’s annual outdoor advertising conference, and serves as the primary professional network for the Georgia OOH community.
Under the leadership of new Executive Director Daniel Maxwell, OAAG entered 2026 with a clear mandate: modernize, grow membership, and establish the association as a stronger presence in the Georgia OOH industry. What stood in the way was a website built approximately 2012 to 2015, with outdated content, broken contact forms, a non functional Join Here button, and no digital infrastructure to support member management or event communications.
For a trade association whose credibility depends on looking and functioning like the professional organization it represents, a decade old website with broken forms was a liability. Daniel Maxwell engaged Graviss Marketing to build the digital infrastructure OAAG needed to enter its next chapter.
The Approach
Graviss Marketing was engaged for a full website redevelopment and to manage OAAG’s digital infrastructure on an ongoing basis following launch.
Website Redevelopment
A complete redesign and rebuild of the oaag.net website on WordPress, mobile responsive, professionally designed, and aligned with OAAG's brand and industry positioning. The redevelopment addressed all structural issues from the prior site, including broken contact forms, non functional membership signup flows, and outdated content structure. The rebuilt site features clear calls to action for membership, events, resources, and contact, improved navigation and information hierarchy, and a performance optimized backend built for scalability. The domain remained with Network Solutions, and Graviss Marketing manages hosting.
Ongoing Management
Following launch, Graviss Marketing has managed OAAG's website on an ongoing basis, including hosting, WordPress maintenance, security monitoring, plugin updates, and content edits as needed. The site is actively maintained and supported as OAAG's digital home for the Georgia OOH industry.
“Coming in as Executive Director, I knew we needed to modernize how OAAG presented itself. Graviss exceeded every expectation. The website outcome was exactly what we needed, but what stood out most was their consistent presence throughout the entire engagement. Jonathan and his team were communicative, flexible, and genuinely committed to our success. They went well beyond the website and have been a real asset to this association.”
Daniel Maxwell, Executive Director, Outdoor Advertising Association of Georgia
Ongoing Partnership
OAAG is an active Graviss Marketing client. The website redevelopment was delivered on schedule for the March 18, 2026 board meeting. Graviss Marketing continues to manage hosting, maintain the site, and support OAAG’s digital infrastructure on an ongoing basis as Daniel Maxwell builds the association’s presence and program under new leadership.
The Outcome
OAAG entered 2026 with new leadership and a clear vision. The website that represented the association for over a decade was replaced with a modern, functional platform that reflects the professionalism of the outdoor advertising industry it serves. The Join Here button works. The contact forms route correctly. The site is hosted, maintained, and managed.
Membership payments continue to be processed through mailed checks and QuickBooks, keeping operations simple and reliable while the association’s digital presence continues to mature.
For a trade association whose mission is to advocate, educate, and grow a community of professionals, having a digital home that matches that mission is not a nice to have. It is the foundation everything else is built on.
